When I read this article about Chris Gardner, I knew I had to share it on my blog.
Gardner is now a millionaire, but remembers sleeping in bus station restrooms with his two-year-old son.
He became a homeless single parent through a series of unfortunate circumstances, but never gave up. In fact, click on this link and look at the picture of Gardner, who proudly shows a crooked index finger which he got from dialing the phone 250 times every day as a stock broker. Talk about sticking with your dream!
Today, not only is Gardner successful, he’s written a book called “The Pursuit of Happyness” – the spelling is Gardner’s – and Will Smith is playing him in an upcoming motion picture.
So, as you’re building your business, are you making your 250 calls each day? Are you pushing through the hard times? Are you being so tenacious that in ten years, they’ll make a movie out of your life? Could it happen to you?
