The Mind is the Most Powerful Muscle
Do you find yourself feeling a little jealous when you’re in the presence of someone who appears to be more successful than you? You know, that someone who is really fit and trim, driving a more expensive car, or talking about a fantastic vacation they just got back from?
I mean, maybe you don’t let on, but that thought is in the back of your mind. Maybe deep down, you truly wish you were more like that person, and you know they’re not any different than you. But at the same time, there’s an inner voice of doubt – and it keeps saying that you don’t have what it takes to succeed.
As a result of past failures, many people are convinced they can’t be successful. What they don’t realize is that a failure is simply a result that differs from your expectation or hopes – that’s all. It’s not a predictor of the future. What has happened in the past doesn’t decide what will happen today or tomorrow.
But as long as you think that you’re not good enough, or that you don’t have what it takes to be successful, you will get in your own way and not achieve the success you want and deserve. So no matter how unlucky you think you have been, or if you feel like you’re not cut out to be above the crowd, you must remember and believe: you CAN be successful!
Here are some of my favorite inspirational quotes to read and repeat to yourself on your road to success:
“Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple really: double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember – that’s where you will find success.” -Thomas J. Watson
“In order to succeed, you must first be willing to fail.” – Anonymous
“Success doesn’t come to you…you go to it.” – Marva Collins
“Choice, not circumstances, determines your success.” - Anonymous
“Seventy percent of success in life is showing up.” – Woody Allen
“Confidence is the companion of success.” – Anonymous
Remember, you are just as capable of being successful as anyone else. And no matter what that little voice inside your brain might have said in the past, you can and will find success!
In the words of that famous Nike ad campaign: Just do it.
And, in my words: I know you can do it!
Warmly,
