More proof that reaching out to others benefits yourself
I’ve written about and encouraged volunteerism before. But I was reminded of just how empowering giving back and getting involved in the community can be for youth. Here’s a short article by the Associated Press that talks about the benefits of making an effort to do for others.
If volunteering helps teenagers and young adults to have a positive attitude and become successful, I’d like to think that reaching out to others would be just as profitable for us “grown-ups.”
