Count Your Blessings: My List of Gratitude

Since it’s Thanksgiving, I thought I’d take a moment to “count my blessings”.

Here are 10 things I’m thankful for, or as I call it — my “List of Gratitude.”

#1) God
There is not a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for all the many blessings.

And I don’t only mean the things that I like because that’s easy to see the blessings in.

But rather seeing the blessing in things I don’t like and turning those “lemons into lemonade” and using each experience as a stepping stone to get stronger, better, kinder and more loving, so I am truly grateful for God and ALL the things that happen — good or bad for they are my blessings.

#2) Family

Not a day goes by where I don’t give thanks — not just for my wife Cathy and my son Lars, but for my mom, my aunts (all of whom were in attendance at the recent Cash Flow Summit workshop) and all my other family members.

#3) Health

Most people don’t know this, but I actually battled chronic fatigue syndrome for over 3.5 years. As the saying goes, you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. Now that I’m back in good health, I truly appreciate just how important health is.

#4) Freedom

I feel so blessed to live in a country where you’re free to seek out financial independence and happiness. “We are the land of the free because of our brave!” There are a ton of people over the world born into poor, war-ravaged countries. Many of them have no escape and no way to improve their lives.

So it really is a blessing to live in the land of opportunity.

#5) Goals

This one sounds a little weird, right? But the fact is, everything that I have and everything that I am today is a direct result of my learning to set and achieve goals.

Without goals, I’d never have set the world 1-mile cycling record, I certainly wouldn’t have built a company that generates up to $100 million dollars a year and I definitely would not be as happy as I am today.

#6) Mentors

I learned all about the Cash Flow Business from one of my first mentors, a man named Carl (although everybody called him “Mr. Mortgage). Without him, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. That’s why I’m so thankful and appreciative for all the mentors I’ve had over the years.

#7) My Staff

I’m blessed to work shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the best and brightest people in the industry. I’m grateful for each and every one of my employees and I look forward to seeing them every day.

#8) My Bike

I know this one sounds strange, but I really love my bike. I’ve got a brand new Parlee® bicycle with Campy® equipment and let me tell you: There’s no better way to blow off some steam then to hop on my bike and soak up all the fresh air and amazing scenery in Colorado.

#9) Each New Day

No matter what happened last week, no matter what happened yesterday… today is a brand new day. A new chance to wake up and do something incredible!

So I wake up each day and I count my blessings. It gives me hope, joy, and a sense that everything is right.

#10) YOU!

I saved the best for last. Truth be told, I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am for you — my students. I built my company by helping students succeed in the cash flow business so it’s important that you know just how vital you are.

We're successful helping others succeed.

We're successful helping others succeed.

As it says right in our lobby — “We’re Successful Helping Others Succeed.”

So there you have it:

My list of gratitude.

I’d love to hear from you.

Please leave a comment below and let me know what you’re thankful for in your life.

Note: Dalbey Education will be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th. We will re-open on Monday, November 30th at 8 a.m. Mountain Time.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for sharing your list of gratitude with us. I hope to become one of the many students you speak of in your top 10 things you are thankful for… #10. As I sit here typing with one hand while holding my grandson in the other…I too, am thankful for my family… you see I am caring for my 3 month old grandson who has special needs 24/7, not to mention my own active 9 year old son. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to read all of the information that came in my package, but that will have to wait until I can have a moment to myself other than when I am asleep. I don’t even get that for myself most of the time. Until then, I will be thankful for being one of many who took the first step by ordering your Winning in the Cash Flow Business.

    Happy Black Friday ;)

    Russ:

I am grateful for my God, my family and extended family, my friends, our health, but I am especially thankful for you, Russ and your staff. I have had your program for the past 5 years. I tried to get started right before my son was born, but couldn’t. As a new mother, a part-time student and a full time career worker, it became very stressful at the age of 38. I have tried throughout the years to once again revisit the CDs and manuals, but there was always some distraction that kept me from really getting started. Now at the age of 44 (Dec. 4th), I’ve completed all but one goal and it is to get started this program.

I am grateful to you, Russ and your staff because since the time I had purchased this program, there was not a day that went by that I did NOT receive an email from your establishment and for that, I really mean that I am grateful because it kept me motivated to try. Most, if not all programs that are out there does NOT send constant email reminders to get started nor do they offer any assistance. They just take your money and the rest is up to you. Your emails kept me motivated to start someday even though I had let 5 years go by. My husband and I have great paying jobs, but I want to make even more money to become debt free which would benefit my son’s future because he is my driving force and Russ, your program can make my dreams and this goal come into fruition.

God bless you and your staff and I pray that you continue to be the motivator that you are.

    Dear Russ,

I am thankful to GOD for all that he brings into my life,my family, my friends, the good, the bad, the beauty of a sunny day, the rain to water the earth and make the plants grow so that we have beauty all around us in the warm months, the snow to cover this amazing land that GOD created and prepare it for a new beginning when the earth warms and creates the miracle of life all over again, my health, the lack of money SO, I would desire to break out of the box and pay attention to a real opportunity when it appeared, the brain that GOD blessed me with, to learn and use that knowledge to better my life and others, for fortitude to keep on trying no matter if people believe in what I am doing or not!!!

    4. My ears, The wateway to our soul faith comes by hearing and hearing by whatever we choose to hear, if you want to have abundance, listen about abundance, but if you listen about poverty, sickness and desease that is what is going to be manifested in your life, we grow in the areas that we listen the most. Close your hears to negativity and open your ears to everything that is positive uplipting, constructive and edifying.

    FELIZ NAVIDAD A TODOS!!!

    Russ,
Over the last ten plus years I have learned the great joy in making an effort to be greatful for everyone and everything in my life. Today being greatful is easy and automatic for all I see as good and I am actually learning gratitude for all the vicissitudes which have and will pass my way.

Although I just found your blog this morning, I have to admit that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s all about gratitude for all the blessings in our lives, of which we have many. As we are grateful, we bring more blessings into our lives.

Thank you for your encouragement that motivates each of those around you to be their best selves. It’s working for me!
