My Predictions For The Year 2010.

I don't have a crystal bal, but here are my predictions for 2010. Image source: Unknown.

I don't have a crystal ball, but here are my predictions for 2010. Image source: Unknown.

Now that we’ve rolled over the calendar into a brand new year, I’d like to share my predictions for the next 365 days with you.

Now, I’m certainly no psychic but I’ve been in the cash flow business since 1991 and after 18 years I’ve learned a few things about real estate and what it really takes to succeed.

Of course, you don’t need any special powers to make predictions like these.

See for yourself:

#1: I PREDICT that if you write down your goals on a 3 x 5 index card, and review that card constantly and carry that card with you every single day, the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor of achieving your goals before the next 365 days are over.

#2: I PREDICT that if you commit to spending just 15 minutes EACH AND EVERY day building your note business, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you become a “note master”.

By the way, I’m not the only one who believes that. Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “If a person studies a subject for 15 minutes a day, he’ll be an expert in a year and a national expert in five years.”

#3: I PREDICT that if you’ll commit to reading just one new book a month, you’ll read 12 more books this year than many Americans. (No joke: The National Endowment for the Arts conducted a survey in 2002 that found only 56.6% of Americans had read a book in 2002.)

#4: I PREDICT that if you do NOT write down your goals and if you do NOT identify a strong REASON WHY you want to achieve your goals, you’ll quit on your goals (and yourself) the instant you hit some turbulence.

#5: I PREDICT that if you repeatedly “jump ship” and continually seek out the next big “get rich quick” scheme, you’ll have less money after a year than if you had just stuck with one plan and committed to work on it every single day.

#6: I PREDICT that 5% of all the note-finders out there will make 95% of the money because those in the upper 5% work harder and work MORE CONSISTENTLY than the other 95%.

#7: I PREDICT. You WILL make mistakes, but if you can just keep chuggin’ along… I predict you WILL overcome and prevail.

#8: I PREDICT that we’ll all see an INCREASE in the number of new cash flow notes created during 2010.

#9: I PREDICT that we’ll see EVEN MORE foreclosures across the nation in 2010 and I predict many note-finders will have their most successful year ever because of the overwhelming number of foreclosure deals available.

#10: I PREDICT that if you follow my recommendations, you’ll achieve more success during the next year than you did during the previous 10 years combined.

Those are my 10 predictions for 2010.

And now, I’d like to serve you with this challenge:

I challenge you to write down 3-5 of your most important goals on a 3 x 5 index card, carry the card with you at all times and review your goals at least 3 times per day.

Furthermore, I challenge you to do this without missing a single day. Because consistency breeds success.

Will you accept my challenge?

If so, let everyone know by leaving a comment. And feel free to share your goals as well.

I have successfully switched careers three times in the last 35. Everytime I’m scared to death but my goals and the future income of my family depended on my NOT giving in to my fears. Confidence is built solely on completion of the challenge at hand. I had co-workers betting on my failure to last a month, I worked 17 years in that field!
Russ you are my inspiration and thank you for caring and sharing what you’ve learned.
#1 goal, make $2K per month to increase 50% by 12/10
#2 goal, employ 10 eager minds by 7/10 to learn
#3 goal, increase my energy to play with my grandbabies

    Hi, Russ -
    Great Blog!

Just posting to let everyone know that I, for one, accept your challenge!

I am writing down my goals and reviewing them every day.

A few years ago, I accepted another challenge from you…it was to floss my teeth every night for 21 days to prove that something practiced for 21 days would become a habit. I still floss my teeth every night! Probably more than you or your readers wanted to know about me, but I think it makes a clear point.

    Thanks for your leadership.

I purchased the program over a year ago and gave up on it. That’s why I say I really needed to hear what you had to say.

I often think about the note business, but since purchasing your program, I’ve went through a transition that have left me in a slump. Time to come out of that slump and get busy. Thanks again.

As a field insurance adjuster i drive from insured’s/clmt’s homes all day. While i am doing my job from day to day this is all that i see are foreclosures or foreclosed properties.
This i feel will work out very good and all that i will be thinking of at this time along with my present job.
I believe this is a very good workable goal one step @ a time until mastered.

    Russ,
    I accept your challenge!!
I greatly appreciate you patience and persistence!! I have kept every email sent to me. Every offer, every challenge, every dare you have ever sent me since I first talked with your representative.
At that time I told your representative that I “would” do this as soon as I could! I have every intention of living up to that commitment.
I don’t want to go on forever here – but – the reason I haven’t been able to do this yet is because it requires a monetary commitment. Due to us helping our son with some very hefty legal and medical expenses after a very serious auto accident we just haven’t had it! We have had to max out some credit cards and are trying to recover from some serious debt.
With that being said, here are my goals as you asked for:
    1. Get out of debt.
    2. Find an alternative for the 9 to 5 job and working for a “boss”.
    3. Start taking more vacations and prepare for retirement.
I see all of these things in the cash flow business as you have described but cash on hand is definitely a problem.

I am using your advice by writing down the things I want to accomplish each day and I am finding it is helping me to become much more organized and am able to accomplish more. I can’t say I have succeeded yet, but I am much better than I was a month ago. So thank-you!!

Russ, it has taken me a little time to get all together, including organizing an office, witch is completed now. I know, basically that I am just another student. I have a few things slowing me down with my injuries after comming back from Iraq and fighting with AIG for my injuries and reimbursement of wages. I am starting tomorrow full steam. I have also purchased the foreclosure materials but will be starting with the protege material first. I will be in touch before the end of the week with calling Bradley Glann. Some of my questions may seem a little unlearned in the realestate subject, but in truth, a lot of it is very new to me. Even after owning realestate for fifteen years. I am worried that after being home since May, I have used a majority of my savings and am hoping I can get this buisness at least begun before having to go back to my former occupation, witch takes away my time. I have a court date against AIG in March and am hoping I can work on this till then, but that is questionable. I believe my goals can be met through this, and will give it my best. Steve

    2) Eat breakfast daily and drink 8 – 8oz. glasses of water per day.

    3) Exercise daily (30 minutes cardio or 1 hour tennis ball machine and 20 minutes free weights) with the goal of winning a sanctioned tennis tournament.

    4) Establish and daily track a budget of time and treasure with the goal of establishing moderation in daily life and living thankfully in the “now,” and specifically writing one new song each month for 2010.

    5) Keep my promises….let my “yes” mean yes and my “no” mean no. (become a man of my word) with the first goal being to complete 2-3 lessons in Protege per week and following through on my commitment to become one of the best Proteges ever!

In all of this, the overall goal is to establish a mindset of perseverance…thank you for being there as a coach and mentor to inspire me to write this down and begin living again.

Ive had your course for 2 years. This year is different. I now have a definitive course of action that I am going to take to get my business off the ground. I find that alot of times we know things can work but wonder will they work for us. Its clearly not a question of whether they will work it is are we willing to work it. My goals for 2010 are: 1)Do my first note deal in 30 days from today- January 11,2010. 2)Market to at least 100 prospects every week, using the tools that are in your course. 3)Teach at least (2) of my family and friends how to win in the cash flow business. 4) Be on your show as won of your best success stories. Not were I just became successful but I also made others successful.

Also, my PC crashed and burned taking with it all the 30 or so lessons you had sent to me some time back. Hello George Archie, I believe you can make it without a lot of money. I’ve been a realtor for 10 years and lost all of my business and money, however I use what I have to promote my Note Business. Number one, never ever make excuses. I found out its not money you need, you need a strong will and desire. At the end of the day you will most likely be using someone elses money. Use you mouth peice, go to vistaprint.com and get you some business cards FREE just pay for shipping. Pass them out, get some card stock paper, make your own post cards, if you can’t mail them out, then pass them out. Its free to do this and good exercise in the process. Sacrafice what you must, but don’t give up. I’m still going at it, and will never quit. I will be one of Russ next big Winner in this wonderful world of the Note Business. Its fun and exciting. Stay the course, get around positive people who believe in you. Get around MOVERS AND SHAKERS, stay away from LOOSERS AND TAKERS! Have a super winning decade.

So the business will be mine and my husband will not be involved in the business as a partner or as a employee. He may do some volunteeer work for me, on some days, if his Parkinson’s disease is stable.

Russ, you should teach tensity, you surely have it. I have just gone through losing three members of my family and the expense and heartache that comes with that; and now need a project to get me back into the real world and making some money to enjoy retirement more fully. I have been an executive and so I know about setting goals and have done it all my professional life. If you have a payment plan so I can start this business, then I will commit to work here in Texas. I am ready now and will be reviewing the original kit once again before I am in touch with your office this next week. Success in 2010 is mine! Keep them prayers coming and bless you for your ability to encourage others, even when you are hitting the wall with some of us. What a heart! Yours is the kind of team I want to be on and the opportunity to help others with a honest product is a desire of my heart too.

This blog is inspirational. We are totally commited to follow the instructions outlined in your challenge. We have recently been able to go full bore with the business and it is looking pretty good. Setting our goals and reviewing them will also keep our focus on our ultimate objectives. And, we agree, this is the best business there is to be in. And, it is enjoyable and fulfilling when our hard work pays off when our Note Holder leads contact us with potential deals. Next goal, lets get the buyers interested and sell some notes!

    Thank you for everything,

    Russ,
This morning I was looking for some notes to share with a friend who is dealing with the loss of his job. They were in one of the bibles belonging to my wife. At the risk of sounding didactic, allow me to share them because they address one of the worst problems we sometimes have – fear.

    Causes of fear:
    Learned fears
    Imagination
    Doubt
    Poor self image
    Guilt over past failures.

    Consequences of our fears:
Stifles our capacity to think properly.
Indecision – fear of rejection, fear of failure
    Diminished capacity to achieve
    Panic
    Torment
    Damages our relationship w/others
    Damages our relationship w/God

    The cure of our fears:
    Acknowledge our fear
    Identify our fear
Set our focus, short and long Joshua 1:9
    Exercise our faith Isaiah 41:10

These came from our friend Charles Stanley decades ago.

My goals for 2010 are set, and I have only one gear- Forward. Semper Fi

    Hi,
Russ, I’ve read the course and attended boot camp. I am extremely excited about this business. I’ve had a few setbacks with illness in my family. I also had friend who was in hosp. and rehab for nine weeks. With only me as her medical surrogate, I found my days at the hospital and pure stress and exhaustion at night. Christmas was three weeks away when I finally dropped her back at her home for more recovery, thank God for prayers. So now the new year is here and I’m ready to go.
    1. I will work at least 15 min a day on this business
    2. I will not be discouraged by setbacks
    3. I will step out of my comfort zone and try new things to make this business grow.

I hope these goals are not to broad, but I promise to read them first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

I want to send a message to others who have shared with us in this blog that they are being included in my prayers for our mutual success in 2010. I also thank Russ for his 2010 Challenge. I have made a 3×5 notecard and it is currently filled with 9 Goals. I need to rewrite it and keep it focused! Here’s a few: 1. I will first seek the Kingdom of God in prayer and study having faith that all good things will come my way. 2. I will spend a MINIMUM of 15 minutes a day studying the Cash Flow Business – even on days when I am gone for 12 hours I can do 15 minutes. I am glad I can do several hours in a day on 3 days a week. 3. I will buy an HP Calculator that does yields and I will study until I understand this concept and am no longer intimidated by it. 4. I will visit Ramsey County Courthouse, locate the office and the information I need to research and bring home a list of at least 5 leads. 5. I will commit to believing I am indeed becoming a professional notefinder, resulting in my first closing before July 4, 2010, and then ramping up to an annual income from this source in 2010 of at least $10,000.

I have been self employed my whole life, (since I was 20 yrs old, now 54 years old)
I have seen many so called opportunities come and go over the years, but nothing like this! I currently own my own company called Painworxs, Inc.(www.painworxs.com) It is a great business, and I employee my whole family. I own and distribute a “Emu Oil based topical pain reliever”. We distribute our product to over 3000 pharmacies nationwide. It is a great business and has done very well for my intire family, after 8 years in business, last year we did over one and a half million in sales. I made a lot of money over the pas eight years, but not as much as I plan on making in the next eight years with real estate notes. My goal is to continue to build a large estate for my two grandsons to take over after I am gone, and thanks to Russ, I have no dought I will make this happen, in fact, I truly feel that IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED..TIME JUST HAS’ENT COUGHT UP YET! Hope to meet a lot of you soon, this includes you Russ. Untill then..just believe you CAN!

This is one of my favorite blogs yet. Why? 2 things.
    1. Life has really given me challenges since I began this Cash Flow business, so every day I make resolutions and I have to forgive myself for not getting them accomplished the speed I want them to manifest, then make new resolutions and never give up.
2.In reading this I discovered a block in my thought pattern. TAXES! I dread them. Could it be my dread of taxes is getting in the way of my resolutions my dreams? I realize somehow I have to make taxes fun. The more money you make the more challenging taxes can be, so I have to believe that taxes are enjoyable and put these great steps into practice immediately. Thank you once again!

I had purchased the note business in 2005 and never did any thing with it. One night while watching Russ in TV, I decided to re-investigate this program, and I am so glad I did. I signed up for boot camp, had a ball and learned so much. I left boot camp with 3 notes to list. Within 3 weeks I had two buyers for thoses notes, I am in the process of closing those two notes each with a profit of $5000. I no longer fear how I will maintain the lifestyle I became accustomed to while in the mortgage business. I am so commited to being one of Russ’s Millionaires. Get off the fence and make the commitment you will not be sorry. This is truley a great and easy business. Thank You Russ!
